Selangor Museum was standing proud until it was destroyed by a bomb on World War II. Six years after Malaysia declared independence, they decided to rebuild a museum on the same site. It was then Muzium Negara ( National Museum ) became a reality and officially opened on 31st of August 1963. So much of history, let’s get inside!
TIPS & REVIEW: This is a huge museum with 4 galleries. It’s not a place where you just turn around and you’re done, so get ready with some walking and take your sweet time. Silence is golden inside the museum. If you want to be enlightened about the rich history and culture of Malaysia, this is a must-see place. Coffee shops inside. Their pantry serves Malaysian menus.
