In my country, urban shelter or what we call waiting shed can be seen everywhere. They usually come in an annoying designs where the name of the politicians are either engraved or protruded on its surface. Like saying “Hey! It’s me who did this Project! Come and thank me! Lovelots…Your Mayor”. So you can imagine where I’m coming from when I say I really appreciate this kind of architectural design.
I came to visit Shah Alam’s National Museum but was too early for the opening. So I decided to just stride around while waiting. This huge thing captured my attention and I was like “Is that a waiting shed? Looks like Batman left half of his wings here“. The architectural design is aesthetically clever.
But I’m afraid someone will come to this post and say “Hey! It’s not an urban shelter…It’s a stage!“. Because I think we only need strobe lights, a band, a crowd and we can be up for a concert by night . The space is good enough for one!
There’s more to see in this place. I’ll tour you around with my future posts. I love how they build architectural pieces while keeping the nature safe. 🙂 Do you also have a beautifully designed urban shelter in your area?
